Cherry Chocolate Dream Cake 🍒🍫

Dive into a slice of heaven with this Cherry Chocolate Dream Cake, where luscious chocolate meets juicy cherries for an irresistible dessert experience! Perfect for gatherings or a sweet treat at home. Let's get baking! 🎉

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup dark chocolate ganache
- Fresh cherries for topping

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line it with parchment paper, ensuring your cake releases perfectly after baking!
2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk them together to blend well.
3. In a larger mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. This usually takes about 3 minutes.
4. Add the eggs, one at a time, to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract for that extra depth of flavor.
5. Gradually mix the dry ingredient combination into the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined—don't over mix!
6. Carefully add the hot water into the batter, stirring until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
7. Gently fold in the halved fresh cherries to distribute them evenly, adding fresh bursts of flavor to every bite.
8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth out the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Check the doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean from the center of the cake.
9. Once baked, let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
10. When the cake is fully cooled, spread the dark chocolate ganache generously over the top. For a stunning finish, top with fresh cherries.
