China is making a bold attempt to lead the global market for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, drones, and air taxis, with plans to deploy over 100,000 vehicles by 2030.

A report from the China Low Altitude Economic Alliance indicates that the development of air traffic networks and ground infrastructure for flying vehicles is expected to be largely completed within the next two to three years, signaling rapid progress in China's push for advanced air mobility.

 

Pioneering companies such as AutoFlight and EHang are driving this effort. AutoFlight recently conducted its first test flight in Japan, successfully showcasing its Prosperity eVTOL prototype in collaboration with the aerospace nonprofit MASC.
