Did you know Can Americans Surpass The TikTok Ban In The US With VPNs?
World famous social media app TikTok is on the verge of farewell in the
US after failing to meet demands of divesting from its Chinese-based
parent firm.
The ban is all set to take center stage on Sunday
but not all Americans are happy with the news. As the platform gears up
to go dark, there just might be a tool to keep accessing the app,
despite the ban.
No guesses here as it’s the good old and very
handy VPNs (virtual private network). Yes, despite getting deleted from
the American App Store and Play Store, it will remain on users’ devices
but it might stop working.
The platform has plans in store to
shut the service for Americans which means that anyone having the app
cannot make the most of it, both Google and Apple shared. However, both
tech companies failed to comment on how they planned to take down the
apps from their locations.
The app and the website can both
determine where users are coming from. Depending on this, they get the
chance to roll out regulations based on where they’re present. Now most
users would certainly be barred but many Americans making use of VPNs
may still continue using this platform.
It will work each time as every device links to the internet and is identified via IP numbers. Now this code is 12 digits long and unique to every PC or mobile. The first six numbers have to do with the network which features data about a certain region where requests were generated.
The tool is nothing new. In fact, people have been using this for years in places where heavy internet restrictions continue to exist such as China. The latter is known for blocking popular American web pages like Google and Facebook. This is where the VPN certainly does come in handy, spiking huge traffic.
Now India and Pakistan are great examples of a nations that saw great success in accessing TikTok and X via VPNs despite the government’s ban on the app. Other users of VPNs are to keep in touch with live events such as sports which are again banned.
