Did you know Google’s Circle to Search Update Brings Instant Image Searches and AI Overviews to Android
The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is on everyone’s minds.
However, if you own an older Android phone, something is exciting for
you to cherish too!
Google just revealed
how it’s rolling out a new and improved version of the Circle to Search
feature across all Android Devices. For those who might not be aware,
this AI-equipped offering was shared at the start of 2025. All users
need to do to make the most of it is long press the device’s home button
and then circle something using your finger.
It’s like a basic way to look for things on Google Search from any
location through a device. There’s also no need to make a switch from
one platform to the next. If that’s not enough, it’s useful if you’d
like to carry out image searches since you don’t have to take
screenshots or explore what you’re seeing on Google.
Google is
similarly adding one-click options for accessing URLs, email IDs, and
phone numbers. This means if the Circle to Search detects it, users can
call, email, or visit websites through single clicks. Again, you don’t
need to make the switch from a single platform for interactions with
other elements.
The Android maker is now working to expand this availability with the debut of Gemini 2.0 as promised in 2024. So to see this take place and become a part of Circle to Search isn’t a major surprise. Similar to any Google release, it might take a couple of days before the update arrives on your phone so be patient.
