Did you know Microsoft Accused of Tricking Searchers By Hiding Google Results on Bing

 

It looks like software giant Microsoft is up to some not-so-productive behavior after being accused of tricking searchers on Bing.

A new screenshot shows how the company was trying to trick searchers and make it seem like they were on Google and not Bing. However, in reality, the opposite was true.

This would motivate more users to continue using Bing for search results because of how much they blindly trust Google. As per the findings, Bing displays ‘Promoted by Microsoft’ in the search box and ends up disguising Google Search Results when you search for Google on Bing.

If you really want to see Google’s Search results in Bing, you need to select the option for ‘See More’. Thanks to the eagle eye vision of one social media user who reported the issue, the media outlet was able to highlight the matter. Let’s not forget Bing trying its best to copy Google Search’s interface layout to further confuse searchers.

The company is also busy experimenting with a new variant that resembles the famous Google logo but does not disguise the search listings on Google below it. The fact that Google fails to use such tactics and allows users to see Bing immediately when they search on Google says a lot. So we hope Microsoft can rethink its strategy because this just does not seem to be working for too long.
