Did you know Musk and Zuckerberg Applauded By X CEO for Revolutionizing Social Media Accuracy Through Community Notes
Linda Yaccarino has plenty of high expectations for the X platform in
2025 and that includes exponential growth, thanks to Musk’s AI chatbot
Grok.
The X CEO shared her thoughts during a keynote interview at the CES 2025
where she predicted ample growth and success for X in 2025. The
discussions at the event revolved around her replying to dozens of
queries about the platform owned by Musk.
She was introduced
into the arena as a trailblazer who represents the spirit of CES and one
who has a great career linked to innovation, vision, and determination
to succeed. Under this leadership, many predicted X to flourish and
transform the entire landscape of social media. As a result, many users
can benefit including content creators and different communities. If
that’s not enough, the X platform was highlighted as a global newsroom
that can be accessed through users’ pockets.
The
X CEO was asked to comment on other arch-rivals in the tech industry
like Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg. This includes his decision to remove
fact-checkers from Facebook and rely on a Note system that’s driven by
the community. That’s when she spoke up about the Meta founder using
intelligence to scrap old methods to better serve the community and
ensure misinformation was limited on different platforms.
Yaccarino
also gave Zuckerberg credit for making sure social media platforms
carried on with their responsibility of serving the world with
up-to-date and accurate data, similar to how X functions.
For
those who might not be aware, Twitter was the first app to roll out
Community Notes in 2022. This was right before Musk came into play. When
he did take ownership of the company, he introduced fact-checking
labels and then chose to ditch those right before the presidential
elections.
It’s great that both Musk and Zuckerberg realized
that Community Notes were the best decision to employ to ensure
bias-free fact-checking was taking place, Yaccarino shared. If that was
not enough, the ex-NBC executive also mentioned how these features
inspire great behavior in Gen Z and their need today to get the most
accurate information out there.
When speaking about recent
polls, Yaccarino shared how results do prove that it’s in fact the
millennials who are fueling the app’s growth. They’re curious about
entertainment, fashion, sports, gaming, and music. These are the areas
that they adore and hence most targeted by the advertisers.
