Did you know Threads Releases New Updates Including Scheduling Posts and Metrics for Individual Posts

Adam Mosseri just shared how the Threads app is rolling out new and exciting updates starting today.

This includes the ability for users to finally schedule posts on Threads which was a very much in-demand and sought-after feature by users on the app. Mosserri also shed light on how the platform would assist users manage online presence better with metrics on individual posts that would be a part of Insights.

Users also get the chance to mark up posts that they’re resharing to add a more creative flair. For now, it’s limited to a few countries but he did share how more would be a part of the list soon.

Insights have always been a key means for users to get more insights about their material published through the app. This includes reach, audience, engagement, and the demographics of where most of the views were coming from. Now, with the help of individual post insights, this takes the game one step further.

The marking-up post feature is not exactly clear in terms of what the final look might appear like but one social media expert did share their insights. This comes in the form of a squiggle icon that pops up near location pins. When you tap on that, it brings up the Markup UI.

This can come in handy when or if the user wishes to bring attention to certain parts in a post before they share it. Depending on the screengrabs we’ve seen so far, the markup tools can include highlighters, red markers, and an arrow tool.

Threads keeps on adding such new updates to the app from time to time. Many of these features are not exclusive to the platform as they’re inspired by other archrivals like Bluesky and X. Still, the magic is working as the app continues to see great growth with signups hitting 15 million as of November last year. A lot of the credit here might go to Elon Musk’s X app which seems to be losing out on users thanks to the tech billionaire’s policies like using personal data for training its AI model Grok.

As the old saying goes, one person’s loss is another person’s gain. And it seems like both Threads and Bluesky seem to be making the most of X refugees right now.
