K Watercraft has introduced a groundbreaking unmanned vessel powered by water at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, revolutionizing sustainable maritime technology.
The WB-UM2 uses a hydrogen production system that generates fuel through water electrolysis powered by solar energy. With a proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell, the boat runs for one hour on just 500 ml of water, showcasing unmatched efficiency in eco-friendly navigation.
Weighing only 50 kg, the vessel features a 2.0 BHP electric motor, a fuel cell output of 300 watts, and produces hydrogen at four liters per minute. Future advancements may enable the boat to use seawater, enhancing its operational potential.
Ideal for offshore rescues, environmental monitoring, and marine surveys, this innovation addresses challenges like marine pollution while reducing carbon footprints.
K Watercraft’s vision aligns with the global shift toward sustainable energy, paving the way for cleaner oceans and waterways.
