Did you know Mark Zuckerberg’s Closeness to President Trump Has Not Helped With His Popularity, New Study Proves

Ever since Donald Trump became the 47th President of the US, we’ve seen plenty of tech giant leaders cozy up to him.

From Elon Musk to Mark Zuckerberg, all the biggest CEOs from the world of tech could be seen seated in the front row at his inauguration. Other than that, private meetings are a usual feature and that would make you think that these people are certainly some popular figures.

However, a new study by the PewResearc proves otherwise. Meta’s CEO got an unfavorable ranking of 67% while only 25% reported him to be favorable. The fact that he’s leaning more towards the Republic side had people frowning even more, not giving him a great image.

Meanwhile, the poll proved how more Democrats voted unfavorable for him, giving him a shocking 76% unfavorable vote and just a 17% favorable one. Mark Zuckerberg might have opted to be better off with the GOP after this recent public ordeal of showing support for Trump.

We’re still seeing Meta be the center of attention for a leading anti-trust lawsuit that’s ready for a trial to begin this April. But wait, that’s not the only thing on his mind.

He’s made accusations towards the previous administration of censoring content but the Supreme Court didn’t find that to be true. Meanwhile, his decision to end fact-checking has ignited another battle altogether. We’re talking about banning slurs against those who are gay or trans which again was frowned upon.

Zuckerberg has also allowed slurs against the gay and trans community across all apps that were previously banned. He’s also bid farewell to diversity, equity, and all inclusion ordeals. Last but not least, we’ve seen him pay $25M to settle the latest Trump lawsuit brought against Meta for banning the President after his role in the January 6, 2021 riots across Capitol Hill.

Now, it’s not just the Facebook owner who has gotten close to the MAGA leader. Elon Musk and his special bond with Donald Trump is truly on a whole new level. The fact that he’s now the head of the Trump administration’s DOGE says it all.

Musk has really spent a fortune to try and assist with Trump’s election and now he’s acting like America’s second President. Did we mention his unprecedented role in the White House?

As far as the recent poll is concerned, Musk was neither a popular option for the masses. He got a 54% unfavorable score and a 42% favorable one. However, as expected, the Republicans are more on his side now than ever. 73% of them reported favorable views while 24% reported unfavorable ones.

The contrast with Democrat voters was immense. 85% gave him an unfavorable score while 12% only gave him a favorable liking. Musk is really leading the business world as the CEO of Tesa, SpaceX, Neuralink, and Boring Company. His X app is really gaining momentum and shared a very profitable 2024, thanks to the elections of course. Sadly, Tesla isn’t making the best of profits around the globe.

In the world of social media, it’s a close call between X, Meta’s Threads, and the decentralized app Bluesky. The latter is a force to be reckoned with 32 million users. But again, it’s anyone’s game to take the lead. Just when you think one might be winning, the other outshines with bigger and better stats.

So while getting close to Donald Trump might seem to be in trend these days, the popularity of tech billionaires seems to be diminishing.
