Did you know Survey: Politicians, Journalists, and Influencers Least Trusted Globally; Police and Scientists See Mixed Confidence
According to Statista Consumer Insights,
only 5% of the people in the US say that they have trust in the
politicians of their country which shows how little trust overall
Americans have in their politicians. This was found out after a survey
in Japan, Germany, the US and the UK to find out how much they trust
some specific professions. Online influencers, celebrities and financial
services professionals are also the least trusted in the US.
In
Germany, only 6% of the respondents said that they trust their
politicians, followed by 5% in the UK and 3% in Japan. Journalists were
the least trusted in Japan, with only 6% trusting them while 8% of the
respondents from the UK trust their journalists. Trust in journalists
have dropped over the recent years significantly, with social media
playing a major role.
Police officers were the most trusted in Germany (37%), while the least trusted in Japan (14%). 28% of the respondents from the US and 23% from the UK trusted their police. Scientists as a profession was most trusted in the UK (33%) while least trusted in Japan (18%). 32% of the respondents from Germany trusted their scientists while 30% from the US trusted scientists.
