Did you know Android 14 Maintains 27.4% Share, Android 15 Reaches 4.5% in New Google Distribution Report
Google just released the latest figures for Android distribution. The
last update witnessed was from nearly a year ago. This time around,
Android 15 made its debut in the stats for the first time.
Starting
April 1, Android 15 was found on 4.5% of all devices. The latest
version was shared to AOSP at the start of September, so it was a long
time coming. The launch should entail stable releases from Pixel,
Nothing, and OnePlus. During this time, Samsung happened to be beta
testing its One UI7, but just launched it in the past few weeks.
We are expecting the launch of Android 16 to come as early as in the next two months, June to be exact, but this would be for Pixel devices only. At this moment in time, Google shares the latest distribution stats nearly once or twice a year through the Android Studio. It all depends on the exact figure for devices that link to the Play Store during the week.
