Did you know Google Maps User Spots Mysterious Satellite Racing Over Texas, Possibly a Starlink Craft
A Reddit user shared
some new details about a recent incident in Texas where he happened to
be glancing at the satellite image layer through Google Maps. This is
where he saw a potential Starlink craft rushing past it.
As per
reports from Google Earth, the picture relates to November 30, from an
Airbus Satellite located above the northern part of Texas. It got a glimpse of the potential Starlink craft that orbits below at nearly 17,000 miles each hour.
The
satellite could be linked to SpaceX’s Starlink. That was noticed
through a visible analysis and the presence of double solar panel
arrays. We also saw in August last year how BlackSky managed to click
the V2 mini Satellite from Starlink orbiting across the Pacific Ocean
near Alaska.
It’s
yet to be shared if the satellite belongs to Musk’s Starlink or not,
but there is growing evidence that it’s a huge possibility. For now,
SpaceX is not replying to this matter or providing requests for
comments. But one expert from the satellite and astronomy world says it
might even be a craft from China dubbed Ziyuan-3-2.
Another
Reddit user shared more proof about how it crossed the same region on
November 30. In the meantime, Google Maps picture stood out as it shows
the satellite racing across Earth and providing an afterimage in the
colors red, green, and blue.
The satellite sensors on Airbus were
first captured in the colors red, blue, and green, other than the usual
gray scale ones. The end image usually makes you think that Starlink
satellites were popping up in more satellite pictures. For now, we can
say that nobody is confirming or denying, or replying to comments on the
matter. But the picture does make you wonder if Starlink satellites
were showing up as greater satellite pictures. It’s a major mystery, and
we’d love to see what the giants in this industry have to say,
including Google, Maxar Intelligence, and of course, Airbus.
