Did you know WhatsApp Shares Exciting Overview for New In-App Updates and Here’s What To Expect
Popular texting platform WhatsApp just shared
a bigger and broader overview of the newest in-platform updates. Some
did get reported on previously, but others are new and linked to the
texting process.
As part of the latest monthly feature, WhatsApp
discussed some of the newest changes and upgrades that are worth
noticing. So let’s take a peek!
For starters, we’ve got a new
online indicator for group chats. While the feature isn’t new and a
classic for solo chats, now group members will be able to see who is
online at any moment in time. This way, you get greater chances to
engage with them, there and then.
WhatsApp is also rolling out event updates so users can create this inside 1:1 chats, other the group discussions. It’s even updating the RSVP feature so users can reply through maybe while you invite a plus one through this chat.
There’s another tappable reaction feature that doubles down on reactions through conversations by clicking on another individual’s reaction to send something similar. The platform also shared a new Document Scanning feature for iPhones that allows users to send and scan documents through the app. All they need to do is click on Scan Document from attachments and follow the steps for scanning, cropping, and saving.
iPhone
users are also benefiting from a new pinch-to-zoom feature for video
calls. This means you might need to fix your room’s background before
hopping on a call because everything would be zoomed in on.
All
WhatsApp users can benefit from adding another member to an ongoing call
from WhatsApp, directly through the chat thread. All they need to do
here is click the call icon and press Add to Call.
The platform
says it’s also upgrading the video streaming option so video calls are
not only in high quality but also more reliable. It’s similarly designed
to ensure the best connection to limit dropouts and any kind of
freezing of videos.
In other news, channel admins can benefit
from recording and sharing short videos with followers. The limit so far
is less than a minute. There’s now a tool to produce transcripts for
voice messages from channels too. And last but not least, don’t forget
the good old QR codes where channel admins share unique links to
channels so it’s simpler for others to join.
Many of the changes
are small tweaks or upgrades, and that’s exactly what the platform
mentioned in the report. We think it’s a great way for users to remain
up to date and increase awareness of the newest features for this app.
