Unpopular opinion: I had absolute zero issue with Blue Lock s2.

People said the animation looked liked a slideshow, but come on, so did the first - in a GOOD way mind you - because the whole thing is about the mc having narrative thoughts in the middle of what’s supposed to look like a high speed football game, so of course time slows to a crawl and makes the game look like a slideshow every time any of the characters monologue.

 

…and you know what? Those are the parts I love! I love Blue Lock, but not for the sport itself, HELL no! I find few things more boring than seeing a ball be kicked back and forth. So what I love about Blue Lock IS the strategizing and the inner reflections- and monologues. I love those scenes where a character analyzes a situation and comes up with a way to counter the opponent, or when a character gets frustrated at a hopeless situation and suddenly unlock a new power.

So yes, nothing wrong with s2. I loved the whole thing and genuinely tried to pinpoint exactly what people were angry about.
