A
mysterious portal suddenly opens in modern-day Tokyo, unleashing
medieval soldiers and mythical creatures into the city. In response, the
Japan Self-Defense Forces push through the “Gate” into a fantasy world
on the other side, where they navigate war, politics, and uneasy
alliances. At the center is officer Youji Itami, whose otaku instincts
and tactical skills shape the fate of both worlds.
