Yesterday we reported that Microsoft has added a built-in internet speed test to the Windows 11 taskbar in its latest preview build, alongside several other improvements.
Clicking the option opens your default browser and redirects you to Bing, where a simplified Ookla interface appears with a central speed meter and three key metrics below it: latency, download, and upload speeds.
In other words, the tool isn’t fully native to Windows 11, but rather a shortcut that links out to a web-based test from the taskbar.
