New Anime Turns a Mountain Monster Legend Into a Comedy!

In a quiet mountain town, an old legend warns of a terrifying creature known as the “Yamatagi Madara,” a half-human, half-snake being said to haunt the western mountains. A shrine built in its honor marks the boundary of a forbidden area, where townspeople believe anyone who enters will be cursed.

 

Curious about the story, two siblings from the family tasked with governing the mountains decide to visit the forbidden place themselves. There, they encounter the creature from the legend, a demon with the upper body of a shrine maiden and the lower body of a serpent. Though its appearance is frightening, the siblings soon discover that the mysterious being may not be as terrifying as the legend suggests.
