DYK? Taiju was originally set up as the main character of Dr. Stone… not Senku

Dr. Stone artist, Boichi, recently shared that in the early drafts, Taiju carried the story, while Senku was just the genius support. Even the first chapter focused heavily on Taiju’s emotions and perspective.

But after a few chapters… everything flipped. Senku naturally took over as the lead, and the entire direction of the story shifted with him. Boichi said the change didn’t feel forced at all… it flowed so smoothly that it almost felt planned from the start.

It’s wild to think Senku almost wasn’t the face of Dr. Stone
