Soul Eater Remake, Brotherhood Style
Soul Eater Remake, Brotherhood Style
With the end of Fire Force and finding out its connection to Soul Eater, many fans are now pushing for a Soul Eater remake… while others don’t think it’s necessary, since the original anime is already great.
But Fullmetal Alchemist proved that a beloved anime can be re-released and become even greater with a more faithful adaptation, turning it into a masterpiece.
For those who don’t know, the original Fullmetal Alchemist anime (2003) was already a huge success, but it caught up to the manga midway and had to create its own non-canon anime only ending, something that left many fans unsatisfied on how it's handled.
Back then, seasonal releases didn't exist yet, so anime had to continue weekly even without source material until its end.
Years later, once the manga was completed, 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood' was released, this time faithfully adapting the full story, and it went on to become a masterpiece.
Soul Eater went through the same situation. The anime caught up to the manga and created its own original anime only ending, that many fans didn't like, while the manga continued with a different, more well-received conclusion.
So with a faithful Soul Eater remake, just like Brotherhood, we could finally see the series reach its full potential… and possibly become a masterpiece from beginning to end
