Hamburger Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
1 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups uncooked pasta (elbow macaroni or rotini work great)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Boil the Pasta: Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Ground Beef
Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Break the beef apart as it cooks.
Add Onion and Garlic: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the onion softens and the garlic becomes fragrant.
Season: Season the beef mixture with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Step 3: Combine Ingredients
Mix Together: In a large bowl, combine the cooked ground beef mixture, cooked pasta, cream of mushroom soup, diced tomatoes, and sour cream. Stir until everything is well mixed.
Step 4: Assemble the Casserole
Layer the Mixture: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and pour the beef and pasta mixture into the dish. Spread it out evenly.
Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Step 5: Bake the Casserole
Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 6: Serve
Garnish: If desired, garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
Serve Hot: Serve the hamburger casserole hot with a side of vegetables or a fresh salad.
