Did you know Bill Gates Criticizes Pandemic Preparedness, Citing Repeated Mistakes and Missing Tools

Software giant Microsoft’s owner, Bill Gates is making it clear to the world that it’s not prepared to withstand another pandemic. This is even though the world just went through COVID-19.

A recent interview with the tech billionaire saw him expressing serious concern about the thought of another pandemic arriving. He explained how the chances for survival in the next couple of years are between 10 to 15%. Similarly, he added that it would be nice to imagine how the world is more ready for this, considering the recent past, but that’s far from the truth.

Gates has been a long advocate of speaking the truth on matters such as the pandemic and how to prepare for it the right way, including vaccines. In his Ted Talk session of 2015, he warned how the world just was not ready for this deadly outbreak. A few years later, he even authored more on the subject by releasing a book covering the subject of preventing the next pandemic.

In 2025, the Gates Foundation also made claims of $125M in America to assist in putting an end to the acute phase of the pandemic and prepare for future ones. Speaking to the WSJ, he mentioned why he had such serious concerns. Among those was the fact that so many tools were still missing. People were not considering this. Instead, they were replaying errors made by others.

So many lives were lost in the pandemic we saw a few years back, not to mention trillions of dollars going down the drain. But it does not seem like many learned from the mistakes, just yet. For now, it’s not quite clear how much America is going to invest to prepare for the pandemic under Donald Trump.

Several health agencies in the country were given advisories to end communication with the general public until a further date was provided. As per President Trump, we saw Robert F. Kennedy Jr receive nominations to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. He’s been a strong advocate for vaccine mandates and even marketed fake claims about the end result of these vaccines.

Therefore, it makes sense as to why Trump would want him in charge than others.
