This new technology is expected to outperform Sony’s Exmor RS with faster signal processing and enhanced responsiveness, particularly in low-light conditions. The iPhone 18, launching in 2026, could also feature a 48-MP sensor and Apple’s powerful A20 chipset built on a 2-nanometer process.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also working on a groundbreaking 500MP camera sensor for its Galaxy S25 Ultra, promising next-level image clarity and unmatched photo quality, redefining mobile photography standards.
