Did you know Google Expands AI Overviews To Feature More On Google Lens Results

Google just shared an expansion to its AI Overviews. The company will now make sure the feature is more visible on results generated through Google Lens including those images that are unique or never seen before.

For now, the offering is still only up for grabs on a limited number of searches but it’s definitely going to be greater than what Google initially added to Google Lens in May last year.

Furthermore, the company shared more about how it was including the Chrome app as well as the Google app for iOS. This is a Lens feature that gives users the chance to select and find whatever is on the screen through a simple gesture.

AI Overviews and Lens can go down deeper and give information on material that’s unique, the company shared. This is all thanks to the advancement in models that can answer various queries. So the more you use Lens, the higher the chances that you’ll find results with no need to add a query to visual searches.

The feature is unique because you can ask the Google Lens on Chrome or Google App on iPhone what you’re seeing at this moment. You can either draw what’s in front of you or click on the screen for further details.

To begin iOS on Chrome, all users need to do is click on three dot menus and press Select Screen with Google Lens. They can then naturally select whatever they wish to select when they want to search. After that, they can find visual matches and different helpful results.

After that, you can click on Add to your Search to refine colors, brands, and other details. You can further ask follow-up queries to dive deeper into such topics.

The reason why these updates for Google Lens are important is that the arrival of AI Overviews now means fewer people will visit a particular website for more data when they can get the same from the AI Overviews on offer inside Lens. At the same time, it might be helpful in cases where the feature removes views from competitor websites so it all depends on how you take it. It’s always great to be aware of what’s taking place in your surroundings as it could help or hurt the business in the long term.
