Google has officially started rolling out its Identity Check feature for Android, starting with Pixel devices running Android 15.

This new security enhancement requires biometric verification before users can access sensitive settings when they are outside their trusted locations.

The feature allows users to define trusted places where authentication isn’t needed, but once they step outside these areas, actions like managing Google accounts, disabling Find My Device, modifying trusted locations, and accessing stored passwords will require biometric confirmation.

To enable Identity Check, users must update their Pixel device to Android 15, then go to Settings > Google > All Services > Theft Protection, where they can set up biometrics and designate trusted locations.

Currently, the rollout is exclusive to Pixel devices, but Samsung phones are expected to receive it soon with One UI 7, followed by other Android devices later this year. This update enhances Android’s security, making it harder for unauthorized users to access sensitive information.
