An elderly woman in Macau was taken to hospital after becoming frightened by a humanoid robot walking along a public street. Videos of the unusual incident quickly spread across social media.

 

The robot identified as a Unitree G1 was reportedly being walked in public by an operator while a group of passersby gathered around to watch.

 

Footage from the scene showed the woman shouting at the robot as it appeared to raise its arms while the crowd looked on.

 

Police later arrived to control the situation and escorted the robot and its operator away. Authorities said no one was injured but the woman was taken for medical evaluation as a precaution.
